PRIVACY GUIDE

Privacy Controls and Account Choices

Know what is public, what stays with your account, and which controls you can change.

01

Public account information

A public profile can display the chosen name, handle, avatar, bio, social links, Heat information, and public contributions. Do not add contact details or personal information that you would not want strangers to see.

02

Private account information

Email addresses, password hashes, authentication tokens, saved-item lists, and private messages are not intended to appear in public feeds. Access is restricted according to account and platform permissions described in the Privacy Policy.

03

Direct-message choices

Settings can limit who is allowed to start a direct conversation. Blocking or muting can reduce unwanted interaction, but immediate threats or serious harassment should also be reported so the underlying conduct can be reviewed.

04

Anonymous publishing

Anonymous mode changes the public identity shown with an eligible post. The real account remains associated internally for abuse prevention, security, and moderation. Anonymous does not mean untraceable to authorized platform systems.

05

Saved content and notifications

Saved posts belong to the signed-in account and are not a public endorsement list. Notification controls determine which platform events are delivered, while read state and mute choices help reduce unnecessary interruptions.

06

Make careful choices

Privacy settings reduce exposure but cannot prevent someone from recording information that was already public. Review a post before publishing, avoid sensitive details, and use deletion and reporting tools when something needs attention.
